Managed. partners with schools and districts to streamline and simplify the case management process. Our tech-enabled platform automates compliance-associated tasks, allowing teachers and support staff to focus on students and student achievement. We provide schools with improved systems to reduce teacher workload and support teacher retention to address the deep systemic problems in Special Education and, ultimately, close the achievement gap for students with disabilities.
At Managed., we believe that learning differences are assets. We envision a system where the achievement gap between students with learning disabilities and their non-disabled peers is a thing of the past. We work to lessen the workload for educators, so they can do what they do best – teach, all to support and retain special education teachers.
Managed. supports special education teachers, leaders and organizations to create transformational change for ALL students with disabilities by designing solutions informed by best practices, the science of continuous improvement, and a commitment to equity.
Ingrid Wulczyn is the founder and CEO of Managed. She is a tenured Special Education teacher and leader with over 20 years of experience, leading and overseeing Special Education for both large public districts and charter networks. Throughout her time in Special Education, Ingrid noticed that educators were struggling with the logistics of case management which is inherently time-consuming, task-heavy and stressful. Managed. was created to address this problem – to automate and streamline much of the case management process, and in turn, reduce teacher workload. When teachers are supported, they are more likely to stay in their jobs, and, most importantly, Managed. allows them to focus on students and student achievement. We are committed to continuous improvement, to leveraging technology in innovative ways to support teachers and to creating tools that make it easier for teachers to do their jobs more effectively.
Ingrid has spent over 15 years in special education working as a teacher and administrator in both network and central district office settings. “With Managed., I finally learned how to actually use data to write strong IEPs that will help my students grow. I learned how to do it in school, but never truly understood it. Doing the paperwork is something, but understanding the paperwork I am doing is more more important and will help me make so much more progress with my students. I am so grateful."
“Managed. is worth a serious look from anyone in education. I hire teachers. Hiring & retaining special education teachers is particularly challenging. I want to offer something meaningful that sets us apart from other schools in terms of the support we provide special education teachers. As a principal, I’m tired of seeing my amazing special education teachers struggling so much.”
